We are called to worship God in every aspect of life. As a church family, corporate worship is at the heart of our life together.  Worship Services are held every Sunday at 10:30 a.m. Communion is celebrated monthly, typically on the 2nd Sunday of the month. The music style is blended with an emphasis on contemporary music. Visitors are more than welcome to join our worship services. Child care is available for children under 3 years of age. Children ages 3 – 6 are invited to join Children's Worship, a program of supervised activity, part way through the service.

The New Life Worship Ministry Team provides leadership for the purpose of providing inspirational worship services for NewLifeChurch.  They work in accordance with the vision of the church.

We believe that the message of God’s love and grace through Jesus Christ can be presented in many ways to draw people into worship. In response to this belief we encourage the participation of our congregational members in the following areas. New participants are invited to join at any time throughout the year.

Dance:
Liturgical dancers, a mime group, sign language and flagsare used in worship services to complement or establish the mood of a given service.  Flags are available in several areas for personal expressions of worship as well.

Drama:
Drama has a special way of touching a congregation.  We have been blessed by the involvement of children and adults in this ministry and often involve congregational members in dramatic readings as well.

Offerings:
God has given us many gifts and we return those gifts monetarily as well through our offerings. Our offerings are collected each week for New Life Ministries, Compassionate Ministries and other causes.

Presentation of the Word:
Our Pastor prayerfully leads us in meditations on God’s Word and administers the sacraments. The Pastor teaches, encourages and challenges us in our relationships with God, the people around us, and in the world at large.

Sacraments:
The sacrament of Communion is celebrated monthly, generally on the second Sunday of the month. Baptism Sundays are scheduled 6 times a year.

Technical Support:
Multi-media is used extensively to enhance the offerings of our worship ministry participants.  The Audio/Visual team consists of sound technicians and projectionists who enable our congregation to participate more fully in the worship services.

Visual Arts:
Through visual arts we attempt to convey a message that complements the word that is brought to us or the liturgical season. We make use of visual arts in banners, projected images, paintings, bulletin covers, displays and larger art instalments.

Worship Teams:
We have several worship teams that are led by worship leaders who prepare for each worship service. Worship teams are built up of vocalists and musicians of varying abilities. We encourage the growth of musicianship and excellence.  The music style is blended with an emphasis towards contemporary music.

Less regularly other musical groups participate in worship services such as:

  • A choral group that meets to prepare for a special music offering typically at Thanksgiving or Easter.
  • Kid’s Praise teams that are made up of elementary school aged children. The Youth Band (Grades 5 - 8) participates in various ways and are mentored by existing worship team members.
