New Life Church offers many programs and ministries. All volunteers and staff go through a Safe Church screening process. If you would like more information regarding any of these programs please contact the church office.

Collective Kitchens
Through our Collective Kitchens, groups of 6 to 9 people cook together once a month. It is a fun way to make low-cost, healthy and tasty meals to take home.  At the same time, the cooks try out some great new recipes and connect to other people in our church and neighbourhood.

Community Clothing Closet:
The Clothing Closet is a place for people to get good used clothing. Clothing is offered for free, with a request for a donation if able. The closet is open every Thursday and Saturday from 9:30 a.m. till 12:30 p.m. Donations of clothing are always welcome.

Fellowship:
This committee provides refreshments at funerals and congregational functions as well as the weekly coffee socials following the church service. This group also plans and co-ordinates special social events.

Food for Friends:
Volunteers cook and deliver meals to members and friends of New Life Church who are in need.

Healing Prayer Ministry:
Our mission is to help nurture the spiritual and emotional needs of our congregation and community through prayer and worship.  We have a variety of avenues through which people can receive and engage in prayer and invite you to participate with us.

Individual:   These are held the 1st and 3rd Thursday of each month.  Lasting for about 90 minutes, these evenings are an opportunity for individuals to come and receive focused prayer from the team. Without exception, we have been collectively awed by God’s presence and power.  If you are interested in receiving prayer in person, please contact Sharon Soderholm.

Intercession:   Held on the 2nd and 4th Thursday evening of each month, the healing prayer team intercedes for the specific ministries of New Life, the church as a whole, and personal prayer petitions brought forward .  If there are any requests which you or your ministry would like us to pray for, please contact Jim Veldhuis.

Partnership:   We participate with various ministries of the church as a support and resource.  This could be offered in several ways:  helping your small group or ministry on a retreat; teaching on the themes of prayer, healing and wholeness; or other creative endeavours.

KITE Team: Keeping in Touch Everyday.
The KITE mandate is to identify ways to increase awareness of activities of New Life church and its ministries, to stir up excitement and celebrate the gifts God has given to New Life, to educate and initiate local and global thinking, and to encourage the blessing of giving and sharing in the joy of what we have been given.

Norfolk Manor:
Ministering through prayers, praise, worship and fellowship with senior people confined at Norfolk Manor. Together, with another church in Guelph, we take our turn providing worship and fellowship opportunities. In 2008 we will be providing services from 7:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. once per month. We would love to have small groups or anybody to join us, to enhance singing and fellowship. Children are always welcome too.

Property Committee:
The purpose of the property committee is to maintain the New Life church facilities and grounds.

Safe Church:
New Life Christian Reformed Church is concerned for the safety and care of all who attend our services and programs. All volunteers and staff go through a Safe Church screening process.

Ushers and Greeters:
The ushers and greeters welcome people into church on Sunday mornings and at special services. They provide information as required and assist newcomers to become familiar with the church building.

Welcoming Ministry:
This ministry, which is part of the work of the Pastoral Elders, works to welcome new members and visitors to the church.
     This ministry is led by Joan Klapwyk.

Worship Ministry:
We are called to worship God in every aspect of life. As a church, corporate worship is at the heart of our life together. The Worship Ministry leadership team works with the pastor and worship team members, seeking the Spirit’s guidance to provide meaningful worship for those attending New Life Church. We seek to use the spiritual gifts of our members in the area of music, drama, dance, visual arts, the spoken word, prayer, giving, etc. to draw people into worship.
